Center at Tanasbourne is the first urban-style,
master planned Class A office campus in the Sunset
Corridor. At completion, the plan calls for 600,000
square feet of office space on 23.5 acres. Two phases
are completed with two brick and glass buildings
totaling over 144,000 square feet. |

Q: Why did you decide to invest in
the Sunset Corridor area?
A: Our partner, StanCorp Real Estate, was a true
visionary by first developing in the Tanasbourne
area in the 1970s. Over time, the area has grown
into a well-balanced mix of retail, residential
and office, and manufacturing businesses. Their
belief in the area convinced Melvin Mark Companies
that this was an excellent location for Class A
office space.
Q: Why are you involved in the Westside
Economic Alliance?
A: The westside is driving the region's growth.
The issues that affect this area will have an
enormous impact on our economic vitality. We are
deeply invested in keeping this a strong and healthy
community in which to live and work.
Q: How do you participate in the Alliance?
A: I am a past president, a member of the Board
of Directors and chair of the Membership Committee.
Q: Why do you encourage other Westside
businesses to get involved?
A: Dynamic communities need interested, active
participants to keep the area growing. There are
issues out here that affect everyone. The more
involved we are, the more we can shape a community
in which we can all thrive.
